About You

In the midst of deconstructing and healing religious shame, you might also be coping with anger, grief, loss, mid-life transitions and uprootings- because let's face it: no one talks about all the letting go and the many life changes that come when you're outgrowing yourself or your beliefs.

You might feel like you're on this journey all alone. You've been in and out of therapy and are still searching for a like-minded soul who gets it. Someone who can talk about the G*d stuff, the queer stuff, the autism stuff, and the midlife life stuff- without fixing, flinching, judging, preaching, or dismissing.

How I Can Help

Deconstructing a belief system, healing from religious shame or trauma, and rediscovering your true, authentic self leads to necessary changes in your life. People or things you once said yes to no longer align with your beliefs, values, or goals. Something within you has cracked open and now, your life is shifting, too. Emerging is part of the journey, but can feel like death a lot of the time. No one talks about how painful it can be to push your way through the dark and bloom.

It's helpful to have someone to "go with you" and hold space for the grief, loss, anger, doubt, and confusion. Some of these emotions may even be directed toward G*d and that's OK. My role as a trauma-informed spiritual director is to help you navigate these growing pains and the emotions that come with them. I come equipped to listen well, ask curious questions, and help you process what needs said and felt. The session is spacious and nonjudgmental; holding space for you to find peace and clarity in the midst of change. To support you, I utilize art, poetry, somatic awareness, and IFS parts work as paths toward growth and healing. The goal of our sessions is to release stuck emotions and find clarity so that you can move forward with self-love, compassion, authenticity, and freedom.

All sessions are trauma informed, LGBTQIA+ and ND affirming.

FAQs

01

What's a Spiritual Director?

As a trauma-informed Spiritual Director, I am trained and certified to listen well and with compassion. As I hold your story, I may ask curious questions, offer keen observations, or encouragement. These are all intended to help facilitate growth and healing as you weed out religious shame, rediscover your authentic self, and find your way forward.

As a trauma informed director, I am also able to gently hold what feels hard or prickly and help you remain grounded in the present moment as needed.

03

What are your rates?

I offer many session packages to meet your needs:

4 sessions per month: $430

2 sessions per month: $230

1 session per month: $130

These rates enable me to keep my practice small, freeing me to work very closely and attentively with each of my clients while providing specialized, trauma-informed care.

02

Are you a therapist?

NO. I am NOT a licensed therapist and sessions are not intended as therapy. As a spiritual director, I am unable to assess, diagnose, or treat mental health disorders as listed in the DSM or ICD. I am also not equipped to help you navigate crises or situations that impact your immediate safety.

If your needs are clinically significant, meaning that you struggle to cope with daily life, then I encourage you to connect with a therapist or other mental healthcare provider in conjunction with or instead of spiritual direction.

Sessions with Ezra have helped me to process some of my grief about losing a child and also to accept my painful emotions and see them through god's eyes.
